Unbroken Bonds Zine Release Party
March 16, 2025 @ 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
On February 9th, 2025 Laureal Metlock hosted a virtual release for her zine, “Unbroken Bonds: Family, Resilience, and Resistance.” After our virtual event, we’re excited to bring this gathering in person!
Join us on March 16th from 3:00–5:00 PM at Walls Turned Sideways (2717 W Madison St, Chicago, IL 60612) for an afternoon of sharing excerpts from the zine and engaging in hands-on activities like zine-making and collaging. Attendees will also learn about the history of zines, their role in grassroots organizing, and the power of self-publishing.
To attend, RSVP and let us know about any accessibility needs visit: tinyurl.com/yp6p62vh or CDI’s LinkTree! For the safety of all attendees, we ask that everyone wears a mask or is prepared to accept the KN95/N95 masks that we will provide.
We are excited to see y’all there!
