Post Conviction Conversation & Screening

Join us for a screening of Post Conviction, a documentary by filmmaker Margaret Byrne offering rare access inside the Cook County post-conviction legal process through the stories of Roosevelt Myles and Jacky Burks, two men fighting to overturn their convictions after decades of incarceration. Filmed over several years inside Chicago’s criminal courts, the film explores the emotional and structural realities of seeking exoneration and the profound impact wrongful convictions have on individuals, families, and communities. The screening will be followed by a conversation and Q&A with filmmaker Margaret Byrne, Roosevelt Myles, and Jacky Burks.
